Henry Clay Work (1832--1884) was an American composer and songwriter, especially known as the composer of Grandfather's Clock. This setting consists of an inventive treatment of three of his best-known themes: "Kingdom Coming," "Grandfather's Clock," and "Marching Through Georgia."
