Candy Shop - Mateo James

This piece is lighthearted and bouncy and could resemble the feelings and senses a child might have when exploring a candy shop; different colors, sights, smells, and of course, tastes! The piece is easy enough for a first year band to play; using only the first six notes, this piece provides enough of a challenge to keep students motivated. You can use it as an opportunity to teach staccato, articulation, accents, and eighth-note accuracy.
