Introduction and Scherzo - Morley Calvert

This five-minute work is an ideal concert or contest selection. After a slow opening, a driving rhythmic pulse takes over with the colors of the band being shown off with contrasting scoring. This piece is an adaptation of , which was commissioned as the test piece for the first European Brass Band Championships in 1978.
