Clown Town

Clown Town is a grade 1 concert work with a twist! Percussionists are introduced to exciting auxiliary instruments such as siren whistle, police whistle, ratchet, vibraslap, and more. The wind players get in on the fun by playing kazoos and bird whistles, and trombonists are introduced to the infamous gliss. This is an excellent choice for first year band students to enjoy learning about melody with simple harmony and contrasting dynamics/articulations.

Code of Honor

Code of Honor conveys the idea of respect and a sense of decorum. The introduction begins lightly, while the middle section elicits a heavier feeling. There are timbral shifts throughout the piece as instruments drop in and out of the texture periodically. A great option for educators in search of a march-like piece to round out their concert programs.

Colonial March

Colonial March is a stately British style march for beginning bands. George Washington served in the British colonial army prior to the American Revolution when he became the colonies' Commander-in-Chief and later the first President of the new nation. Two melodies, Yankee Doodle and America (My Country 'Tis of Thee or God Save the King) were known to both the British and American armies and are incorporated in this precious march for the youngest of students.

Colonial Song - Percy Grainger

The original authentic version of this ever-popular Grainger work is published here with a complete full score. The piece, in which the composer expresses his deep feelings for the scenes and landscapes of his native Australia, is one of the best-known band pieces ever written. From the flowing opening melody warmly scored for bassoons, low clarinets, saxophones and baritone (and marked to be played "very feelingly") to the brilliantly scored and sonorous climax, this is truly music to stir the soul and bathe the senses. Colossus

A driving composition from Sean O'loughlin,Commence!begins with a spirited theme that oscillates between triple and duple meter.
