This is a new edition of Entry March of the Boyars for which Frederick Fennel has provided a contemporary overview of Halvorsen's distinguished and musical contribution to concert march repertory. Prepared from the primary source, the orchestral score of 1895, there is careful musical reconsideration of the entire score, including a full set of percussion parts and music for the low clarinets. The Fennell edition replaces that by Clifford Barnes previously published by Ludwig Music. The Boyars were Russian aristocrats, also a privileged class in Romania. The Pageant of London - Frank Bridge
Frank Bridge was one of the finest English composers of the first half of the 20th century. The Pageant of London is his only work for wind band, comprising of two marches, one scored from Bridge's best known organ piece and including the chimes of Big Ben, plus three short renaissance pastiche items, one arranged from Playford (later used by Peter Warlock in Capriol Suite). The music is tuneful, approachable and, in the words of wind band 'legend' Timothy Reynish makes a fine alternative to Holst's two suites, which were composed around the same time. Reynish has introduced this work to concert bands right across the world. It has been performed in USA and the Far East, recorded by the celebrated Kosei Wind Orchestra of Japan and also by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in the Chandos edition of Bridge Orchestral Music.

The New Corn Palace is a famous attraction in Mitchell, SD. Originally built to house the annual community harvest festival, the new ornate building opened in 1921 and became a premier venue for area symphonies and concert bands. Fort Dodge (IA) Band rang in the inaugural celebration, under the direction of Karl King, who composed this work for the occasion.In keeping with King's circus march tradition, a bold D minor introduction and first strain leads to a contrasting F major second strain, lyrical trio, and minor key break strain. This new edition condenses the five original trumpet parts into three parts, and re-scores the saxophones to meet modern standards, with additional percussion editing.
