Marchcard size. Written in 1914, the sheet music was a million-seller, and the march was recorded many times. At the start of World War II, "Colonel Bogey" became part of British way of life when the tune was set to a popular song: "Hitler Has Only Got One Ball", with the tune becoming an unofficial national anthem to rudeness.

IT'S A LONG WAY TO TIPPERARY (Military Band: Unusual Instrumentation) - Douglas, Shipley
Marchcard size. Instrumentation: Flute/Piccolo in E flat only, Horns in E flat only, No Tenor Sax) "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" is a British music hall song written by Jack Judge and co-credited to, but not co-written by, Henry James "Harry" Williams. It was allegedly written for a 5 shilling bet in Stalybridge on 30 January 1912 and performed the next night at the local music hall. Judge's parents were Irish, and his grandparents came from Tipperary. It became popular among soldiers in the First World War and is remembered as a song of that war.

"The Liberty Bell"'s WWI cousin, in lilting 6/8 march tempo. Complete with unique chromatic chime solos and great parade drum effects. "Liberty Loan" was the name for the US Government bonds sold to aid in the war effort and John Philip Sousa was the government's best salesman. Sousa's recording of this march was one of the top-selling recordings during the First World War.
