Land of Hope and Glory (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Elgar, Edward - Sparke, Philip
Elgar's five Pomp and Circumstance Marches were written between 1901 and 1930 with number 1 undoubtedly being the most popular of the five. King Edward VII told Elgar that the tune would 'go round the world' if words were fitted to it. Elgar took the hint and included it (with slight rhythmic changes) in his Coronation Ode of 1902, with words by A. C. Benson. Thus was born Land of Hope and Glory which is now, of course, an integral part of the annual Last Night of the Proms, when the audience (with varying degrees of success!) sing the words along to the original march. Now your concert band can enjoy all the pomp and ceremony of the proms with this arrangement by Philip Sparke.Duration: 2:30

Grandeur and Glory (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Wiffin, Rob
Every now and again I feel the impulse to return to my ceremonial background from my time in the RAF. Grandeur and Glory is one of those pieces that suits those occasions when pomp and circumstance is required. It starts and ends with a slow-building fanfare in the style of Handel's Zadok the Priest. These sections flank a jaunty tune which is flavoured by a few lateral harmonic twists. - Rob Wiffin. Duration: 3.15

Cambridge Intrada (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Sparke, Philip
This short processional was designed to be played as a concert opener but can equally be used as a sort of extended fanfare at presentations, graduation ceremonies and similar occasions. Its title evokes the noble grandeur of the university buildings in the English town of Cambridge where pomp and circumstance are still a normal part of life. A fanfare-like passage opens and closes the work and sandwiches a more legato central section.Duration: 1:15

Graduation Suite (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Elgar & Mouret - Story, Michael
A must for any regal ceremony. Elgar's traditional "Pomp and Circumstance" has been scored for the young band as a processional and Mouret's majestic "Rondeau" from The Premiere Suite as the recessional. Although scored for young band, this arrangement would be an outstanding graduation choice for any high school band performing without graduating seniors. A welcome necessary arrangement for every library. Duration: 3.30
