From Maine To Oregon - John Philip Sousa
John Philip Sousa is well known throughout the world for his successes with the Sousa Band, and for writing the most popular marches ever written. Some of his marches actually were created from music originally written for an operetta, From Maine to Oregon, based on musical themes from Sousas operetta, The Glass Blower, which was renamed The American Maid. This new edition is created from the original parts as played by the Sousa Band performing under the direction of "The March King" himself.

Bonnie Annie Laurie March - John Philip Sousa
According to Sousa scholar Paul Bierley, Sousa often remarked that the old Scottish ballad Annie Laurie was the most beautiful of all folk songs. In 1883 he wrote the march Bonnie Annie Laurie based on this favorite folk song. In 1880 Sousa became the fourteenth leader of the United States Marine Band, and this was undoubtedly one of the marches that he composed during this period. Highlighted and enhanced in this march-style setting, this wonderful melody never sounded better.

An absolutely stunning composition created by combining sections from several of Sousa's arrangements of "Yankee Doodle". The main section, the "fugue" is taken from Sousa's "International Congress" and while every note of these arrangements was written by Sousa, Keith Brion and Loras Schissel have combined them into one piece that is certain to become one of his big hits! Pride of Pittsburgh - John Philip Sousa
Sousa's unique and never-before published concert "grand march" was composed as a tribute to two other popular American composers, Stephen Foster and Ethelbert Nevin. Along with an original Sousa march theme it includes Foster's "Come Where My Love Lies Dreaming" and Nevin's still widely familiar tune "Narcissus." All three of the melodies: Sousa, Foster and Nevin, combine in multi-layered splendor for the riotous finale.
