Reflections (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Langenfeld, Robert
Reflections is a musical portrayal of the people and moments in our lives which shape and change us. Musical elements from various sources are woven into a rich tapestry of sounds and colors that show the full expressive range of the band. Perfect for contest and festivals! Reflections by Robert Langenfeld, was commissioned by a consortium (alumni/friends/family/UCM Bands/ CTS Pubs) for Dr. Russell Coleman in celebration of his 90th birthday and his service as director of bands at the University of Central Missouri (CMSU) for 32 years. Langenfeld was given guidelines for the composition which included a clarinet soli (Coleman is a clarinetist), excerpts from "Dance Prelude" (commissioned by Dr. Coleman and the UCM Phi Mu Alpha chapter, written by Claude T. Smith for the CMSU (UCM) Band in 1978), the UCM Alma Mater and the UCM fight song, "Go Mules." This work was premiered on June 17, 2018 by the Warrensburg Community Band, under guest conductor, Dr. Anthony Pursell, at the 2018 Missouri Bandmasters Association Summer Convention at Tan-Tar-A in Osage Beach, MO. Dr. Russell Coleman has been the conductor for the Warrensburg Community Band since 1985. Duration: 5.30

A Golden Jubilation (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Yagisawa, Satoshi
This work was composed as a commission by the Aikodai Meiden High School Symphonic Band, for the 50th anniversary of their annual concert; the title A Golden Jubilation is a reference to this. The close friendship between Hiroki Ito, the conductor of the band, and Satoshi Yagisawa resulted in this brilliant and exhilarating fanfare of approximately two minutes in length; the piece is ideal to use as a concert opener. The original composition was arranged for an extremely wide range of instruments and a band of 200 musicians, including a separate 'banda', harp and a variety of special instruments. This version has been rescored for standard band instrumentation by the composer himself. Duration: 2.20

The Haunted Carousel (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Svanoe, Erika
Winner of the 2014 National Band Association Young Band Composition Contest, "The Haunted Carousel" was conceived as a piece for band utilising the sound of a theremin, an electronic instrument often used in old science fiction and horror movies. The part is optional and all critical material is doubled with other instruments of the band. The theremin part is designed to be performed live on an amplified iPad with the GarageBand application. This is one Halloween piece your entire audience will be talking about long after the concert!Duration: 4:30

Ding Dong! Merrily on High (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Noble & Rutter
Since first hearing John Rutter's orchestration of Stuart Nicholson's adaptation of this piece, I have wanted to bring it to the repertoire of the Concert/Wind Band. It is written for combined Concert Band and Chorus, but may be performed by Band alone. The choral part is shown in the conductor's score, but is not included in the set. This is the happiest and most joyful presentation of the 16th-century French carol that will delight your audience and band alike!

Quelle est Cette Odeur Agreable (Whence is That Goodly Fragrance Flowing?) (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Noble & Willcocks
The original setting of this beautiful melody was for Strings and Chorus. This Concert/Wind Band version features the brass ensemble, the woodwind choir, as well as the full band. It is intended for combined Band and Chorus, but may be performed by Band alone. It is completely compatible with the published choral edition, except that it is written one-half step lower (E-flat instead of E major). There are no accidentals, and, apart from the instructions for andante and legato, the phrasing is left to the conductor. The simplicity and rich harmonic structure make this an important addition to the repertoire of young bands, and a perfect piece for any band to program for the Christmas season.

To Every Thing There is a Season (Concert Band with Choir or Trumpet Solo - Score and Parts) - Rutter, John - Noble, Paul
Upon first hearing this beautiful composition by John Rutter, it seemed obvious that it would not only be a great piece for combined Band and Chorus, but also would be a perfect solo for trumpet. Therefore, in addition to the arrangement for either combined band and chorus, or trumpet solo and band, this arrangement for Brass Band is now available as well. The beauty and simplicity of the piece should certainly allow it to become a mainstay in the repertoire of trumpet solos at any level.

Parade Procession (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Salerno, Christopher
This piece is designed to create the impression of a marching band passing by during a parade. As the piece begins, the percussion is heard off in the distance, and as the band approaches, more instruments can be heard until the moment the marching band passes by and the entire band is playing. The piece ends as it began, with instruments heard sporadically as the percussion fades away.Duration: 2:15

Alarums, Opus 27 (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Mailman, Martin
Martin Mailman (1932-2000) composed "Alarums for Band, Op. 27" in 1962 in Greenville, North Carolina. The word "alarum" means a "call to arms." The piece was originally titled "Overture for Band" and was later changed to "Alarums for Band" sometime between its completion in 1962 and publication in 1969 with John Barnes Chance, Mailman's colleague and friend, probably suggesting the change in title sometime during this period. Bold and commanding, a cherished addition to the Belwin Classic Band series. Durtion: 6.00

Night (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Fitzpatrick, Craig
Night is the result of a collaborative project between the composer and the 6th grade beginning band directed by his wife in Morton, Illinois. The students in her band class each write an eight-measure melody as a composition project which is part of the beginning band curriculum. These melodies each start and end on concert B-flat and use only the notes the students have learned on their instruments. The class voted on the best melody, and the winner was "Majestic Night, Oh Winter Night" by Sarah Gunter. The students then observed how this melody was developed by the composer into a concert band piece that they would perform later that year. Compositional terms such as repetition, fragmentation, and augmentation could then be taught to the 6th graders in a piece for young band that was written just for them. Duration: 2.30
