A magnificent major work based on the German chorale 'Was Lebet' (O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness). The piece is made up of five contrasting variations. A majestic, fanfare-like section opens the work, leading into a giocoso classical-style variation. The beautiful Variation 2 is reflective and plaintive, while the next variation is somewhat quirky and volatile in nature. There is a French romantic feel to Variation 4, with a playful waltz providing scope for various soloists around the band to display their musicianship. Variation 5 is fugal in nature, with each section of the band being handed the theme at various points. The sense of motion builds gradually to a grandiose presentation of the theme, the first time that it is heard in its full form, bringing the work to a thrilling, majestic conclusion. *Please note audio and video are of the brass band version. Something of a classic in its brass band and piano versions! We are delighted, at last, to make this work available ith wind band accompaniment by the composer. Written in 1978, the work is constructed in three movements and is virtually a concerto for euphonium and band. The first movement begins with an unaccompanied motto theme, which uses all twelve notes of the scale but with a tonal feel. The slow second movement is based on an original song melody by the composer - 'The Eyes of God' - and affords lyrical and richly expressive playing that is typically euphonium. Movement three follows without a break - a capricious movement which ends triumphantly. Now available in versions for piano, brass band, wind band, and orchestra, Euphonium Music can be seen as a major contribution to the literature for the instrument. Fanfare for Hope was commissioned in honor of the inauguration of Father James P. Burns, the 14th President of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. The fanfare is based on the hymn tune Melita, more commonly known as the Navy Hymn, Eternal Father, Strong to Save, with the text "My hope is built on nothing less ..." serving as the inspiration for the piece. The opening brass fanfare features the uplifting first notes of the tune transitioning into a legato treatment for the woodwinds and horns. The theme builds as the brass and percussion eventually return leading back to the original fanfare. The music ends triumphantly with the entire ensemble joining in celebration.

, by Rossano Galante, pays homage to the human race that endured the pandemic. He creates a musical landscape that depicts strength, tenacity, and compassion. The main theme, which is broad and lyrical, is stated by horns and winds. As the piece develops, the theme is played by full, chordal brass accompanied by rhythmic woodwind lines. The B section is lightly orchestrated with a solo oboe accompanied by the clarinet section, slowly growing to a tutti statement. The piece recapitulates with bold brass chords.
