The majestic Evergreen Fanfare (Sean Brown) was written in Autumn 2010 and is aimed at a young wind band. The composer writes: 'My goal with Evergreen Fanfare was to have the quality of sound and music that a more advanced band work (or even an orchestral work) would have, but at the difficulty level suitable for an advanced middle band or young high school band. My aim is to always write music that is pleasing to listen to for both the performers and audience alike, musical experts or novices alike.' Something of a classic in its brass band and piano versions! We are delighted, at last, to make this work available ith wind band accompaniment by the composer. Written in 1978, the work is constructed in three movements and is virtually a concerto for euphonium and band. The first movement begins with an unaccompanied motto theme, which uses all twelve notes of the scale but with a tonal feel. The slow second movement is based on an original song melody by the composer - 'The Eyes of God' - and affords lyrical and richly expressive playing that is typically euphonium. Movement three follows without a break - a capricious movement which ends triumphantly. Now available in versions for piano, brass band, wind band, and orchestra, Euphonium Music can be seen as a major contribution to the literature for the instrument. If we hear about a beast, we would imagine a powerful and fierce creature. This composition work depicts a beast who's cursed to live under the ocean. Because everyone thinks that he's a heartless and evil beast, they run away from him every time they see him. Sometimes he appears at the surface of the sea and hope that he would be able to make friends with human. But all he got were severe wounds those made by the sailors who thought that he wanted to attack them. Nobody knows... that all he wants, is just only someone who just treat him like the others, not a beast.

Domrmy (France), 1412. In turbulent times of war, Joan of Arc is born, the woman who will play a decisive role in the centennial war between France and England. Even during her childhood, she hears a voice, the voice of God. That voice asks her to help the king and break the siege of Orleans. She achieves victory after victory and hence witnesses the king's coronation. Joan is arrested and burned at the stake on suspicion of heresy. It takes centuries, but eventually her name is cleared and Joan of Arc is declared a saint.

The Spartan Warriors (CB) - Pimpanit Karoonyavanich
The Sparta army is well-known in the time of the ancient Greek that the warriors would never lay down their weapons for any reason. The theme from the beginning of the piece strongly declares that the warriors are always willing to fight for their homeland. The slow movement reflects the feeling of the warriors when they are far away from their loved one due to their duty. The composers intently uses the harmony that gives a hopeful feeling but also painful at the same time. The audience can hear the bell during the piece. It is the symbol of the clock towers which located in every cities. Everytime that the warriors leaves a city, the sound of the bell becomes softer and softer until it disappears. Only at the end of the piece that the bell rings only one last time after the majestical theme. It's the bell of victory!

Milord (CB) - Marguerite Monnot & George Moustaki - Mathias Vleugels
"Milord" is a 1959 song (lyrics by Georges Moustaki, music by Marguerite Monnot), famously sung by dith Piaf. It is a chanson that recounts the feelings of a lower-class "girl of the port" who develops a crush on an elegantly attired apparent upper-class British traveller (or "milord"), whom she has seen walking the streets of the town several times (with a beautiful young woman on his arm), but who has not even noticed her. The singer feels that she is nothing more than a "shadow of the street".
