Sanctus (from Requiem) (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Rutter, John - Noble, Paul
John Rutter's Requiem is a musical setting of parts of the Latin Requiem with added psalms and biblical verses in English, completed in 1985. This arrangement is scored for soprano, mixed choir and Concert/Wind Band. It may be performed by band alone. Five of its seven movements are based on text from the Latin Requiem Mass, while the second movement is a setting of Out of the deep (Psalm 130) and the sixth movement is an anthem The Lord is my Shepherd (Psalm 23) which Rutter had earlier written. The cello solo of the second movement is maintained, but also scored as a bassoon solo. The first movement combines the Introit and Kyrie, the third is Pie Jesu, with soprano solo. The central movement is a lively Sanctus, followed by Agnus Dei and finally Lux aeterna. In the Agnus Dei and Lux aeterna, Rutter combines the liturgical Latin text with English biblical verses. The arranger has added the tolling of the bell at the end, which can be as few or as many as may be appropriate for the occasion.

The First Nowell (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Noble & Willcocks
The First Nowell is one of the oldest Christmas folk songs going back to at least the 1600's. We cannot be sure who wrote it, but both France and England claim it as part of their heritage. The spelling of the word Noel would indicate it to be French, however, England claims the original spelling was the English version Nowell. The singing of The First Nowell and the lighting of the yule log became tradition among the peasants in England and was passed down from generation to generation. It was not until 1833 that it was published and soon after was sung in Church services. This arrangement is one of the Series of Band Arrangements compatible with David Willcocks Carols for Choirs Book 1 (#38).

While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Willcocks, David - Noble, Paul
While shepherds watched their flocks is a Christmas carol describing the Annunciation to the Shepherds, with words attributed to Irish hymnist, lyricist and England's Poet Laureate Nahum Tate. The exact date of Tate's composition is not known, but the words appeared in Tate and Nicholas Brady's 1700 supplement to their New Version of the Psalms of David of 1696. It was the only Christmas hymn authorised to be sung by the Anglican Church; before 1700 only the Psalms of David were permitted to be sung. In the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries, the standard hymn tune of While shepherds watched is Winchester Old (initially simply Winchester), originally published in Este's psalter The Whole Book of Psalmes from 1592. This arrangement represents one in the Series of Band Arrangements compatible with David Willcocks' Carols for Choirs.

Tarjan (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Deleruyelle, Thierry
Tarjan, Hungarian Pictures is a work in three movements commissioned by the town of Vesoul and its concert band. This work pays tribute to Jean-Marie Goux, the band's former musical director, who had forged strong links with Hungary: whether in the village of Tarjan or Budapest itself, he had shared his zest for life with the Hungarian people. This colourful work consists of three movements: The 7th Tribe, Eternal Fidelty and Conquest of the Homeland. It offers not only strong musical content, but also historical insight about a beautiful region with a great tradition.Duration: 12.00

Pata Pata (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Ceunen, Filip
Pata Pata might be the song with the fewest words in the history of pop music, but it is nevertheless extremely popular and known to every generation. The perky character of the song, along with this careful arrangement for small and beginner bands, make 'Pata Pata' a nice piece of music to add to any concert program.

The Power of Love (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Schenk, Markus
Frankie Goes to Hollywood were a controversial 1980s pop phenomenon. The Power of Love is an incredible, breathtaking ballad, untypical of the band's usual style, but a huge hit nonetheless.Duration: 4.30

Barnum and Bailey's Fractured Favorite (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - King, Karl L. - Leslie, Thomas G.
When Karl King was conducting circus bands he would frequently edit his marches so the same composition could be used for contrasting acts (for example a lion act one time, and a trapeze act the next). In the same spirit, Thomas Leslie has creatively repurposed this familiar march to suit an imaginary clown act; complete with novelty percussion sounds and a few surprises sprinkled in. A bit outrageous, but definitely fun!Duration: 2:30

Changes Ahead (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Sherburne, Erik
What starts out as a fanfare quickly becomes variations on the opening themes. As the title suggests, those themes are musical foreshadowing for the "Changes Ahead". With effective use of mixed meters, changing keys and rhythms there is an excitement that builds off of otherwise simple melodies. In the middle section comes a lyrical contrast with a sense of anticipation that the "changed" themes are coming back to a powerful ending, where all the themes combine. "Changes Ahead" showcases each section of the band, but more importantly it will challenge them to listen to other themes and compliment them. With lots of percussion, dramatic brass, flowing winds this piece creates a bold musical experience for the band and the audience. Duration: 5.45

Rejoissant! (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Shaffer, David
As the title suggests, is a celebration of life's conquering obstacles, specifically of the composer's own personal battle against cancer. Written for the Upper Sandusky High School (Ohio) Wind Ensemble and with the thanks from the composer for the support and opportunity to compose this piece during a very difficult period of time, "Rejoissant!" opens with a slower dramatic fanfare in the brass and percussion. The simple but forceful melody is repeated in several forms throughout the piece, including the beautiful and melodic middle section. This exceptionally emotional and energetic composition is suitable for all concerts and especially festival performances. Duration: 6.00
