Dragonrider - Steve Parsons
Dragonrider takes the listener on a twisting, soaring journey astride a powerful fire-breathing dragon as it flies over mountaintop castles and the roaring sea. Inspired by the imagery of popular fantasy works such as those by J.R.R. Tolkien, George R.R. Martin and J.K. Rowling, the piece is filled with exciting percussion and wind effects that still sit well within the range and reach of most concert and symphonic bands.Original Item#: RWS-2035-00

Rhythm of the Nations - David Marlatt
The Dragon King, China's first emperor, was crowned in 221 BC. He unified the various states throughout the country and led with an iron hand. His ambitions saw no boundaries. Some of the massive projects he ordered were the construction of the Great Wall of China, a new palace, and an enormous tomb containing the famous Terracotta Army. This work captures the grandeur and boldness of this leader and features colorful percussion parts to support the big sustained brass and wind writing. The use of the pentatonic scale gives this piece an Asian feel, perfect for your next concert or contest.
