The Pirates of Penzance (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Sousa, John Philip

Sousa's unique and never-before published concert "grand march" was composed as a tribute to two other popular American composers, Stephen Foster and Ethelbert Nevin. Along with an original Sousa march theme it includes Foster's "Come Where My Love Lies Dreaming" and Nevin's still widely familiar tune "Narcissus." All three of the melodies: Sousa, Foster and Nevin, combine in multi-layered splendor for the riotous finale.

People Who Live In Glass Houses - John Philip Sousa

Each movement reflects the country or region from which the various drinks are derived and can also be performed as separate works. The suite was later revised for orchestra but was never published for band until now. An historically important and welcome addition to the band repertoire!
