Triumphal March - Franco Cesarini
The Gran Finale from the second act of Verdi's famous opera Aida, composed in 1869, is a complex part of the drama as in one single scene many different characters, allwith contrasting emotions, appear onstage at the same time. The scene opens in Ancient Egypt when the Egyptian general Radames and his troops, which have just beaten Ethiopia, come marching in. The Egyptians sing a celebration song for him and there is a sound of trumpets playing the triumphal march to receive the hero. The well-known triumphal march, transcribed in this edition for concert band by Franco Cesarini, closely follows Verdi's original score and will bring any concert to a dramatic close.

£63.50Vaktparade (March of the Castle Guard) (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Strand, Oyvind
When visiting Oslo I always try to manage to see the Castle Guards Parade marching from Akershus Fortress to the Royal Castle (in the summer season). There is always a feeling of spirit and solemnity when the military band leads the procession through the city and the Karl Johan Street up to the Castle, for the changing of the Castle Guards. A dear tradition for the locals as well as visitors to the Norwegian capitol. This march was composed after watching one of these parades in spring of 2018.The First military band to play the march was the Royal Norwegian Marine Band.- Oyvind StrandDuration: 3.45

£49.50A Moorside March (Flexible Ensemble - Score and Parts) - Holst, Gustav - Brand, Michael
Holst composed A Moorside Suite for Brass Band in 1928. It is in three movements, this March being preceded by a Scherzo and Nocturne. It is an extraordinary mature work for band from a master composer. There is very little fortissimo writing and there are no semiquavers at all. Instead, Holst has written clean melodic lines with each part being woven into a texture based on the modal lines of English folk music; but these represent its stylistic origin rather than using actual folk tunes as in Holst's earlier band writing. The March is stirring and flowing and is an ideal standalone piece to open or close any concert or festival programme. Duration: 4.15

£45.00Trans-America March (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Smith, Robert W.
Trans-America March, composed in classic style, is inspired by the westward development of the United States of America. Beginning with a quote from the opening phrase of The Star Spangled Banner, we are taken on a journey westward across the great divide. The first strain ascends melodically to the peak in center of the phrase. The melody then descends to the other side of the great divide representing the journey across the country from sea to shining sea. The trio is based on "America, My Country Tis Of Thee," leading to a rousing conclusion. Perfect for patriotic programming or in any concert/festival setting, "Trans-America March" is a wonderful choice for your next performance. Duration: 2.00

£60.00March of the Guards (from Fidelio) (Flexible Ensemble - Score and Parts) - Beethoven, Ludwig van - Glover, Andrew
Beethoven's "March of the Guards" from the opera "Fidelio" has been adapted for flexible-instrumentation bands by Andrew Glover. This stately processional march maintains an air of dignity and solemnity throughout, and adapts well to the five-part "Build-A-Band" instrumentation. Careful scoring and minimal percussion requirements make this an excellent choice for very small ensembles, or those with awkward instrumentations. An excellent choice! Duration: 3.45

£48.95War March of the Priests (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Mendelssohn, Felix - Stalter, Todd
Although more famous for his incidental music to A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mendelssohn was commissioned by the King of Prussia to provide music for Racine's religious drama Athalie, which includes the "War March of the Priests." The march tune draws its energy from a repeating triplet figure in the introduction, and features a nice legato contrasting section. A great opportunity to teach style and nuance!Duration: 2:45
