Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Canadian Brass) - Johnny Marks
Set in a jazzy medium swing style, Luther Henderson created an unforgettable setting of Rudolph for the Canadian Brass.Maintaining the clever scoring devices and "schtick" of the original, Michael Brown's skillful adaptation for concert band is sure to be as much fun for the audience as it is the players.

Memento - Robert Buckley
Famed bandmaster Arthur Delamont always programmed a hymn in his concerts and Memento is an homage to that proud tradition. Starting with a simple and reverent solo trumpet and introducing other brass instruments one by one, the introduction has the sound of a brass band. The woodwinds join in and, with the use of rich textures and dynamic scoring, the work builds to a powerful climax and then resolves once again with the solo trumpet. Ideal for festival use, Memento will give your ensemble an opportunity to explore expression and nuance. The second movement of A Tribute to Arthur Delamont, Memento was commissioned by the West Vancouver Youth Band.

Celebration for Band - John Brakstad
Many Norwegian bands have grown up around factories, but Norwegian factories are often located in the countrysides - by a fjord or lake, by a river or waterfall that provided power for the factory. The factory was the foundation for the existence of the community, but it was also essential for the community's cultural life, choirs, bands etc. (cp. British brass bands and mining). "Celebration for band" tries to give a picture of the environment and life around a band like this, with both factory noise and the natural world (Pastorale), as well as the challenges and development of the band itself. The composition is built up of five connected episodes: - Fanfare and Prologue (concludes with a feeling of the untamed power of the river) - Pastorale I: " At the river" - Intermezzo: " The Factory" (starts with the opening of water for the turbines: snare drum. Factory whistle and bell call to work, and the spinning and weaving machinery starts up.) - Pastorale II: " Summer evening on the fjord." - Finale: " Challenge and Progress"

Side Partners (Brass Duet with Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Clarke, Herbert L. - Glover, Andrew
The era of old-time concerts in the park comes back to life with "Side Partners." Composed by cornet virtuoso, Herbert L. Clarke, for himself and his long-time friend, Sousa Band trombonist Frank Holton, this delightful piece can be played by two cornets/trumpets, two trombones, two euphoniums, or any combination of these instruments. Feature your two outstanding brass players in this charming work. The accompaniment requires a minimum of rehearsal, and the solo parts are flashy without being overly demanding. An excellent choice also for community bands. Delightful music! Duration: 4.15

Quelle est Cette Odeur Agreable (Whence is That Goodly Fragrance Flowing?) (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Noble & Willcocks
The original setting of this beautiful melody was for Strings and Chorus. This Concert/Wind Band version features the brass ensemble, the woodwind choir, as well as the full band. It is intended for combined Band and Chorus, but may be performed by Band alone. It is completely compatible with the published choral edition, except that it is written one-half step lower (E-flat instead of E major). There are no accidentals, and, apart from the instructions for andante and legato, the phrasing is left to the conductor. The simplicity and rich harmonic structure make this an important addition to the repertoire of young bands, and a perfect piece for any band to program for the Christmas season.
