Young Pheasants in the Sky (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Yagisawa, Satoshi
This fantastic, stirring fanfare was written with the composer's wish that the young musicians performing it would fly into the bright future like pheasants. The first part of the piece is a fanfare, which is suitable for opening ceremonies, and the second part is a lush chorale-like movement. Your band can perform both parts together or you could perform each one separately. This short opening work will start any concert in real style.Duration: 2:30

The Memory of Our Native Place Wind Band Set (Score & Parts)
Satoshi Yagisawa is well known for his dramatic symphonic band compositions. Even though he has written relatively few marches, they are also very popular: March Willing and Able is based on a chorale while March Bou Shu is based on a Japanese folk song. The Memory of Our Native Place is a rather unusual piece for Yagisawa, as it actually closely resembles a traditional march. The piece opens with a lively fanfare and is contrasted by the following theme. The trio features a chorale-like melody. 0:03:20

Vocalise (Concert Band - Score and Parts)
Vocalise is the second movement from Satoshi Yagisawa's Trombone Concerto. Yagisawa finally decided to publish this movement as a separate piece, since it has been frequently performed independently and on the euphonium, tenor saxophone or the trombone. Just like the title implies, Vocalise exhibits a warm, gentle chorale-like feel that any audience will enjoy. Also available in an edition with piano accompaniment. 0:03:50
