Symbiopholie! - Jonathan Dagenais
"Symbiopholie!" is a work by Jonathan Dagenais that has two distinct sections that oppose and complete themselves at the same time. The first part is a slow march to emphasize with vigor the symbiosis of the ensemble---and the second part, double time, constitutes the unbridled craziness, lively and almost uncontrollable. The entire piece mixes together in a style reminding us of the origins of the military fanfares: the march. Colorful percussion and a unique blend of styles make this exciting piece something truly different on a concert or contest.

Starlight Memories - Darren W. Jenkins
Starlight Memories was commissioned by and written for the Olathe Civic Band in Olathe, Kansas. It was dedicated to the memory of Ed Badsky, who resurrected the group from a 50 year absence in the mid 1980's. Mr. Badsky was a pillar of the Olathe Band community. He was instrumental in starting Olathe's Band program from its beginnings in the 1960's to what is now a thriving and vibrant program that a proud and supportive community enjoys.
