The Volunteers (March) - John Philip Sousa

Always a patriot, Sousa composed what may be his most programmatic march to honor World War I shipbuilders. Many sounds typical of early 20th century shipbuilding are featured including the sound of sirens, hammering, anvils and riveting machines.
