The River Regnitz , the historic buildings, and the famous orchestra Bamberg Symphoniker are the source of inspiration for A Bamberg Fantasy. Following the opening, with its beautiful melodies played by different sections, the mood suddenly changes into an allegro ritmico in the minor key with rythmical elements and dynamic harmonics. In the finale, changes in time signature add a flowing character to this composition.

This symphonic poem is based on the story of "El Tempranillo" by the Spanish writer J.M. Hinojosa. El Tempranillo used to be called Robin Hood because he stole from the rich to give to the poor. When the king and his property are threatened bydangerous looters, El Tempranillo is persuaded to fight at the side of the king. This work is suitable for concerts and competitions.

In his own distinctive style, Robert van Beringen has composed a very unique fantasy on three themes by the famous Baroque composers Johann Sebastian Bach and George Friedrich Hndel. Van Beringen used Bach's chorale Brich an, o schnes Morgenlicht ('Break forth, O Beauteous Heavenly Light') from his Christmas Oratorio and the recitative Behold, a Virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel, God with Us from Hndel's Messiah. A perfect way to say Merry Christmas in music!
