    Concerto Rococ - Franco Cesarini

The title refers to the historical period that marked the transition between the baroque and classical styles. Rococo music is characterised by a profusion of ornaments, by graceful elegance and lightness of writing. Concerto Rococ consists of three movements: Toccata, Elegie and Gigue en Rondeau - typical musical forms of that time. The concerto is very demanding on the technique of the soloist, but consequently highlights the flute's agility and lyricism.

    Concerto Tricolore - Thomas Doss

Concerto Tricolore is a captivating trumpet concerto in three movements. Each movement has its own musical character resulting in a varied and entertaining piece. The first movement has a vivid and virtuoso character composed in a neoclassical style, movement two is written for flugel horn with the accompaniment functioning as a soft, romantic background for this beautiful instrument. The final movement, with its jazzy character, reflects the atmosphere of an old, smoky jazz club in Chicago. A magnificent new opus in the repertoire for solo trumpet and concert band.

    Concertpiece - James Curnow

From the dynamic, driving introduction to the expressively lyric Andante cantabile, Concertpiece for Trumpet was created to showcase both the technical and lyrical qualities of the trumpet. Whether cascading down difficult runs, negotiating its way through exciting double-tonguing passages, or soaring above the ensemble during the most expressive moments, the trumpet soloist is challenged to perform at an extremely high standard of excellence. After the expressive middle section, the recapitulation of the opening Allegro once again re-establishes the brilliant, energetic qualities of the trumpet, while the following Coda focuses on the interplay between the soloist and theensemble. A dramatic flourish of ascending runs brings this work to a fitting conclusion.
