Magnificat anima mea (My soul doth magnify The Lord) is the first of seven movements comprising John Rutter's setting of the biblical canticle Magnifica, completed in 1990. Rutter was inspired by jubilant celebrations of Mary in Hispanic cultures and conceived the work as a bright Latin-flavoured fiesta. In countries such as Spain, Mexico and Puerto Rico, feast days of the Virgin are joyous opportunities to take to the streets and celebrate with singing, dancing and processions. This arrangement for combined Concert Band and Chorus may also be performed by band alone, and is a faithful representation of the original composition.

Eternal Friendship (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Yagisawa, Satoshi

This work is a close-up of the encounters and relationships of trust between people, following the idea that friendship lasts forever. After the passing of Satoshi Yagisawa's close friend and work partner, Tsutomu Murata, a designer of Neo Create in August 2020, the composer began work on this piece. Murata performed music for audiences primarily as a leader and conductor of Kurume City Brass, a group which is active in Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan. Eternal Frienship depicts a five-minute chorale which explores how music can convey that a close friend is indispensable to you, more broadly, everyone to someone, much like how Murata conveyed the appeal of music to his audiences. Under the direction of the composer himself, the work had its world premiere and was recorded with the Kobe College Wind Orchestra. Duration: 5.30

A stunning contest or concert work for your young band. This energy-packed original is sure to make your young band sound spectacular. Inspired by Colorado, the land of mountains, in this single flowing composition the intent listener will hear the panoramic beauty of the Colorado sunrise with the Rocky Mountains as the backdrop. The power of the dinosaurs, the menacing sheer angles of jagged rocks and the thunder of ancient drums combine to form the first movement entitled In Stone and Shadow. In contrast, Twilight seeks to capture the majestic yet delicate scenery at perhaps the most beautiful time of the day. The final movement entitled "Avalanche" brings together musical and visual imagery to the most powerful of conclusions. Duration: 6.30
