Ceremonial was composed for the opening of the Auditorio Florida, the home base of the Banda Primitiva de Paiporta. The composition consists of three movements. I. Introduction - The introduction is presented in the form of a fanfare; it heralds the ceremony in a majestic way. II. March - The marching music leads to an expressive and delicate melody that contrasts with the other movements.III. Dance and finale - A dance concludes the ceremony. Triumphal March - Franco Cesarini
The Gran Finale from the second act of Verdi's famous opera Aida, composed in 1869, is a complex part of the drama as in one single scene many different characters, allwith contrasting emotions, appear onstage at the same time. The scene opens in Ancient Egypt when the Egyptian general Radames and his troops, which have just beaten Ethiopia, come marching in. The Egyptians sing a celebration song for him and there is a sound of trumpets playing the triumphal march to receive the hero. The well-known triumphal march, transcribed in this edition for concert band by Franco Cesarini, closely follows Verdi's original score and will bring any concert to a dramatic close.

Showdown for Band - Gilbert Tinner
Showdown for Band was written as a compulsory exercise for the Third International Light Music Competition at St. Gallen, Switzerland in 1998. The intention of the composer was to write a piece in a light music style that would at the same time challenge the various bands, particularly in the area of rhythm. The work is divided into four parts: Opening, Ballad, Finale and Ending. Using melodies that are easy on the ear and varied instrumentation, many facets of the entire band are displayed. The solo in the middle part can be played by either soprano or alto saxophone, or even by a flugel horn. The impressive composition contains many musical elements, which makes the work anespecially suitable piece with which to open a light classical concert

Aurum - Bert Appermont
The magnificent concert march Aurum (lat. gold) was written on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the cunductor of the municipal band of Wolfach, in Baden-Wrttemberg, Germany. The march begins with a light and playful theme. The following lyrical trio provides a contrast, with its nod to Edward Elgar. After a number of key changes the introductory theme returns in canon. Finally, the music heads to a majestic finale, inwhich the trio theme is played as a splendid baroque chorale.
