After this competition, ""The Old Mill on the Brook" is the most performed of all pieces Tveitt wrote for band. It has a special fullness, portraying nature in rich colours, with grass, water, stone, forest and the darkness of traditional Norwegian timber. This new editon for modern instrumentation is written by Stig Nordhagen.
