Anglesey Seascapes, 3rd Movement (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Glyn, Gareth - Noble, Paul
Gareth Glyn lives on the island of Anglesey, where the encircling sea has always been indivisible from the mythology, history and everyday life and work of its people. This cycle of short miniatures, in a light music vein, seeks to represent various aspects of the sea as seen from five vantagepoints around the coast of Anglesey. The whole work is bound together by recurring musical motifs which change their character according to the prevailing mood. 1. Llanddwyn (Reverie): Island of the Welsh patron saint of lovers, Dwynwen, whose marriage to Maelon was never to be, and who dedicated her life to God. 2. Malltraeth (Pastorale): A brisk walk along Cob Malltraeth, a high dyke built to keep out the sea. 3. Penmon (Intermezzo): From a vantage point by the sacred priory of St Seiriol, old sailing ships and modern yachts can be seen scudding by in Regatta week. 4. Cemaes (Scherzo): The bustle of children's play and donkey-rides on the beach in midsummer. 5. Moelfre (Elegy): In remembrance of innumerable souls lost in shipwrecks off this coast, including the Royal Charter with its loss of 452 lives.

Aubade Joyeuse (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Lane, Philip - Noble, Paul
Aubade Joyeuse was originally scored for brass band and commissioned by the Three Choirs Festival in 1986 for performance in Gloucester Cathedral. It is in the form of an introduction and allegro and aims to give the impression of a quiet early morning that soon gets a lot busier with people, traffic and general activity rising towards the end to a frenzied fugato climax. This Wind Band arrangement is taken from a setting for orchestra by the composer.

Fiesta (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Curtis, Matthew - Noble, Paul
Despite its Spanish title, the concert overture Fiesta is really Italian, recalling a festival that I saw several times as a child in the late 1960s while holidaying in a village at the southern tip of the bay of Naples. The date is August 15, the occasion the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, celebrated with colourful processions and ritual (some, one imagines, pre-Christian in origin), all rounded off with brass bands and home-made fireworks. - Matthew Curtis. Fiesta was originally written for the orchestra of St. Paul's School in London, It has had performances in London's Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Royal Festival Hall where it opened a live broadcast concert in the BBC's International Festival of Light Music, and has made intermittent appearances on the radio ever since. This arrangement for Wind Band will make an excellent festival opener for accomplished bands and is a sure crowd pleaser with its dynamic flare and energy.

Quelle est Cette Odeur Agreable (Whence is That Goodly Fragrance Flowing?) (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Noble & Willcocks
The original setting of this beautiful melody was for Strings and Chorus. This Concert/Wind Band version features the brass ensemble, the woodwind choir, as well as the full band. It is intended for combined Band and Chorus, but may be performed by Band alone. It is completely compatible with the published choral edition, except that it is written one-half step lower (E-flat instead of E major). There are no accidentals, and, apart from the instructions for andante and legato, the phrasing is left to the conductor. The simplicity and rich harmonic structure make this an important addition to the repertoire of young bands, and a perfect piece for any band to program for the Christmas season.

To Every Thing There is a Season (Concert Band with Choir or Trumpet Solo - Score and Parts) - Rutter, John - Noble, Paul
Upon first hearing this beautiful composition by John Rutter, it seemed obvious that it would not only be a great piece for combined Band and Chorus, but also would be a perfect solo for trumpet. Therefore, in addition to the arrangement for either combined band and chorus, or trumpet solo and band, this arrangement for Brass Band is now available as well. The beauty and simplicity of the piece should certainly allow it to become a mainstay in the repertoire of trumpet solos at any level.

Wells Jubilate (Concert Band with Optional Choir - Score and Parts) - Rutter, John - Noble, Paul
This rousing Jubilate was written in 2009 for Matthew Owens and the choirs of Wells Cathedral as a companion piece to the composer's Winchester Te Deum. With its strong melody and rich textures and harmonies, this work will prove immensely popular with all lovers of Rutter's music. The arrangement is written for combined Concert Band and Chorus, but may be performed by Concert Band alone. The choral part is included in the score, but is not included in the set. The arrangement is compatible with the published vocal score available seperately. Bands may enjoy performing this antiphonally, placing the brass apart from the rest of the ensemble.

Everest: The Forbidden Journey (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Romeyn, Rob
Mt Everest has attracted the most adventurous of mountain climbers for decades, with many meeting their fate in the attempt to scale the world's highest mountain. The legend of the Yeti has tales of the wild, hairy creatures serving as protectors of Everest and it's villages. The music begins boldly, depicting the majestic sight of this magnificent mountain as our journey begins. The music develops as our journey progresses, telling an eventful and tumultuous tale reaching a stunning climax as the apex of the mountain is reached. From here, the work subsides as the breath-taking vistas unfold in the beautiful, lyric sounds before building to a stunning conclusion of majesty and grandeur.
