This impressive new composition by Richard Saucedo features a variety of musical styles in a contemporary sounding setting. The Chorale is written with lush scoring and emotional peaks and valleys. The driving Presto uses mixed meters and a combination of woodwind flourishes and fanfare-like brass figures. The Chorale theme is creatively woven into this section as well, and the ending section builds to an exceptionally strong and rhythmic conclusion.

Here's a marvelous arrangement featuring the engaging sounds of folk music from Sweden. It opens with a brief fanfare followed by In The Summer The Sun Shines So Clearly. After the lovely 3/4 melody Flowers Of Joy, Eric alternateswoodwind and brass choirs on the dignified O Varmland. The lively song My Love Like A Dainty Shepherdess is written in 3/4 for ease of reading, and the medley concludes with a majestic setting of The King. Well scored with plentyof variety.

(2003) Award-winning composer Michael Daugherty's first published work for young band describes a stretch of Interstate 75 that crosses through Florida's Everglades National Park. Alligator Alley celebrates this noble beast that has remained largely unchanged from prehistoric times.
