Shredder - Sciaino
Once a reliable and trustworthy office machine, Shredder has fallen from grace to seek revenge on its sworn enemies and arch-nemeses... the teachers. After a long relationship of perceived disrespect, this dark lord of xerox, will stop at nothing as it crunches and crinkles its way towards revenge. Ultimately, the gut wrenching tones of the paper jam prevail but not before everyone has a blast bringing the story to life! Hilarious sound files are provided to help the narrative or, alternatively, a guest narrator (perhaps a school administrator) can add a really fun element to any concert!

While teaching in India, composer Lindsay Boyd became acquainted with the fundamentals of Northern Hindustani music. The result is this intriguingly unique work for wind band that incorporates distinctive sounds of India. £141.50Searching For Lost Dreams - Dana Wilson
The composer states:"As I began this piece, it was as though I were entering a dream. The music was atmospheric, undefined, and somewhat disorienting. Gradually the material became more focused, but just in time to switch to a very different--though related--sound world, which became the second movement. The overall poignancy, varied sound worlds and dramatic shape of the music suggested the title."

Febesa - Filip Ceunen
The title of this work, Febesa, refers to the four notes it is based on: F, E, Bflat (BES in Dutch) and A. At the beginning of the work, the sound of these notes creates a mysterious, extraordinary atmosphere. The work slowly builds from the low brass as the thematic torch is handed to the woodwind section and this leads into a grand tutti. In a tonal and refreshing allegro, the febesa-theme now has a more harmonic role. After this passage, the symmetric form of the work brings us back to the mysterious atmosphere of the introduction, with solos for euphonium, oboe and flute.

£102.99Marche Hroique - Menno Bosgra
The main theme is introduced quite subtly in the beginning and then the instrumentation gradually widens and all groups ultimately join in together. This leads to an impressive climax which gradually fades away just as it arrived. This innovative concert march is extremely suitable for young and dynamic ensembles and allows you to develop the sound and manner of playing.

This fantastic overture of the Belgian composer Jef Maes formed the end work of Georges Moreau, in the same class as Jan Van der Roost. Virtuoso passages alternate with rich instrumented melodic fragments and thereby create a wide symphonic sound image. A stylish opening work for your concert, but also ideal for coming straight to the point in competitions.

The Wind Rises - Joe Hisaishi
This beautiful, lyrical melody is so colorful in the film, without having an imposing image. "The Wind Rises" (2013) does not dominate the visual, and perhaps is an ideal form of film music considering this is director Miyazaki's final production. Chamber ensembles with solos and strings are frequently used in the soundtrack, so the sound is mellow and soft. As you listen more and more, you still recognize the tradition of Ghibli music. When I arrange, I try not to visualize the image of a film. I may think of characters and story line but is it important to write music that alone is appealing and fascinating. Trying not to "overstate" the film is not needed here. If you can bring out the most appealing parts of the soundtrack, excess can be forgiven. Of course, I have not changed the musical elements of the original.I asked Mr. Tomoki Ubata (band director at Ina Gakuen Sr. High School) whom I have worked with numerous times to assist with layout. He came up with a heartwarming medley with two main parts; leading boy Jiro's gift for aeronautical design and his romance with the heroine, Natsuko. The following themes are contained in the arrangement:1. Nahoko (A Rainbow) Beginning2. Caproni (An Aeronautical Designer's Dream) C3. A Journey (An Encounter at Karuizawa) H4. The Falcon I5. Prototype 8 N6. A Journey (A Parting) & A Journey (A Dream of Flight) PIt is quite remarkable, looking back on 30 years of Studio Ghibli's achievements.(Kazuhiro Morita)
