Excelcia - Larry Clark

It's best called "real music" for even the youngest band. Here is a fascinating study in contemporary harmonic structuring and rhythmic illusion. Although the piece is written throughout in 4/4 time, the listener's ear may perceive otherwise. This lively march is a muscial blast of energy from beginning to end! After a full statement of the theme, a military style drum and bugle call introduces a new melody presented by woodwinds with countermelodies in the euphonium.
