Firestorm (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Bulla, Stephen
The inspiration for this piece, commissioned by the United States Army Band, came from the Gulf and its constant presentation to the world as a media event on television. The composer wanted to capture the colour and events of war as they were played out on the television screen. Composed as a single movement rhapsody, the work is framed by the riveting sounds of airborne bombing raids with brass and percussion combining to create a gripping sense of tension.Duration: 11:15

Ad Fontis Wind Band Set (Score & Parts)
The Latin title Ad Fontis means ?to the source?. This lively march in 2/4time follows traditional forms of march composition with a cheerfulopening followed by a somewhat more lyrical trio. This ceremonialgenre of old is often used in the army to keep up the morale of thetroops, however a march can also serve perfectly well to add luster toany concert and bring immense pleasure to the audience. 0:03:10

America Triumphant
Andrew Glover's latest contribution to the Barnhouse Heritage of the March series is a wonderful teaching and performance tool for mid-level bands. Composed by former Army bandmaster Keith Latey, "America Triumphant" has a bold and swaggering style that is certain to please audiences and performers alike. This 6/8 march serves as an excellent teaching tool, and we're certain that "America Triumphant" will be a concert and festival favorite for years to come!

Castellum Wind Band Set (Score & Parts)
This work consists of two movements. The first part is rather quiet and pastoral in character, written in a gently rocking 12/8 time and expressing the tranquillity of the area around the medieval town of Oudenburg in Belgium. After a beautiful orchestral climax the second section, inspired by the Roman past of Oudenburg, begins. A somewhat oppressive and impending introduction leads to the musical reflection of an army parade: Oudenburg was a so-called "castellum," and the remains of the fortress are still visible in the current town plan. A more dynamic passage follows featuring the low brass. After that, the solemn rhythm of the parade is recaptured, culminating in a triumphant ending. 0:09:00

March of the Orcs (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Wood, Gareth
Startling stuff! Wood paints a vivid picture of Tolkien's grim army of sinister misshapes on the move. Finesse is not called for: go for it and play with aggression - it will really raise your players' confidence levels! AB grade 2.5Duration: 02:30
