The tender ballad Killing Me Softly with His Song was written by Charles Fox and Norman Gimbel in 1971, for de American singer Lori Lieberman. She was very impressed with a performance by the then still unknown Don McLean in the Troubadour in Los Angeles. The feelings described in the lyrics are indeed those of Lieberman, but the one who - two years later - made the song world-famous was Roberta Flack. Her version won as many as three Grammy Awards. Since then, Killing Me Softly has been performed by numerous artists, including Herb Alpert, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Anne Murray, Luther Vandross, and the Fugees.

With his innovative style, he has had a great influence on Western classical music. 'Die Himmel rhmen des Ewigen Ehre' (The Heavens Extol the Glory of God) is the first line of the poem 'Die Ehre Gottes in der Natur', which was written by Christian Frchtegott Gellert (1715-1769). The music that Beethoven composed to the text, was published in 1803, as the fourth Lied (song) in a cycle of six (6 Lieder nach Gedichten von Gellert, opus 48). This work musically embodies the many different moods found around theBodensee - cheerfulness and melancholy, departures and longing, calm and agitation. The roles of the soloist and the orchestra were consciously crafted in a way that does not follow the usual conventions of the genre. The work should spark emotions, address broad segments of listeners, and persuade them of the tuba's ability to be a solo instrument as well as the richness symphonic wind ensembles have to offer. I hope this work enriches the lives of all the soloists and orchestras that cross its path, as well as everyone in the audience who gets to partake!

This remorse led him to seek out a monk and become a Christian, upon which he immediately started building a monastery. Once completed, Haymon joined the monastic order. Uluru is also a sacred place for the local Aborigines.
