My Way (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Oud, Thijs
The evergreen My Way, originally a French chanson (Comme d'Habitude), was written by Jacques Revaux and Gillies Thibault and first released by Claude Francois in 1967. Paul Anka wrote the English lyrics which were used by Frank Sinatra who made it in to the American charts with his world famous interpretation in 1969. Since then the song has been covered by a variety of pop stars, including Elvis Presley. This arrangement is based on the Elvis version and within it the chorus appears in a swinging blues style. This popular song will be ideal for that spectacular ending to your concert.Duration: 3:45

An Angelic Christmas (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Rowe, Howard
A delightful medley of three "Angel" carols that builds to an exciting finish topped by an optional descant trumpet (only goes up to a written G). Carols included are "Angels We Have Heard On High", "Hark The Herald Angels Sing", and "Angels From The Realms of Glory". Features a beautiful brass chorale and since it is well cued, it can be performed successfully even with small bands. Very impressive sound that will be a highlight of any holiday performance!Duration: 3.45

We Shall Lift Lamps of Courage (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Fagan, Gary
The title for this piece is taken from a quote made in 1942 by a member of the French Resistance movement that holds true as well today as it did over half a century ago: "A terrible darkness has fallen upon us, but we must not surrender to it. We shall lift lamps of courage and find our way through to the morning." Suitable as an opening number to your next concert, or as a festival selection. Duration: 5.30

De Madrugada (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Wiffin, Rob
A short piece depicting dawn in the village of San Felipe Neri near Alicante in Spain. It was written during the time Rob Wiffin was living in Spain. In the early morning the rising sun would quickly banish the night and no sooner was the day under way than the church bells would ring to let the whole village know that it was time to embrace the new day.Duration: 2.32

Roman Times (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Fraser, Bruce
During a visit to the town of Saintes in South West France in the summer of 2003, I spent some time in the Roman amphitheatre there. It is a well preserved arena and I imagined what it must have been like to take part in the gladiatorial games. 'Roman times' is based on these images with the opening grand procession and its amazing mixture of Mediterranean peoples. The middle movement is an old fashioned love ballad followed by gladiators fighting in a very spirited battle to death or victory.

Clarinet Calypso (Clarinet Section feature with Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Sparke, Philip
Music from the Caribbean is instantly recognisable. It somehow conveys sunshine and lazy summers and is full of the feel-good factor. It is this infectious happiness that composer Philip Sparke has tried to capture in Clarinet Calypso.Duration: 3:30

Marchissimo (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Sparke, Philip
Marchissimo will make a fantastic opening piece for any concert. It does however come with a twist! It can be played simply as written, but is really designed to be staged with players coming on the concert platform one by one as they begin to play. The piece actually consists of three marches in one, each of which highlights a section of the band. The piece culminates in a final climax where all three march themes are played simultaneously.Duration: 4.30
