The suite describes 3 famous landmarks in the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge area: Knole Park, situated to the south-east of Sevenoaks. The Chapel - Tonbridge School: This movement centres around a hymn-like chorale, depicting the years of worship that have taken place within the chapel, and The Vine Bandstand suggesting the type of music often played in bandstands. It is in march form, but is not actually a march throughout, veering off into other styles before ending emphatically.Duration: 10.30

These blessings, whether in Gaelic or English, were the way Irish people had of expressing hope, desire for a better future and solidarity with their family, friends and neighbours. This simple arrangement offers the choices of performance with combined band and chorus, band alone, woodwinds alone, or brass alone. It also includes optionally three tolls of chimes at the beginning and ending, which make it a perfect tribute for commemoration.

This simple lullaby does not contain any traditional Manx material but was written specifically for the wind orchestra. It is in familiar ABA form but the middle section adds just a moment of piquancy and tension before the return of the original theme dissipates it.Duration: 3.12
