provides ultimate flexibility for ensembles with incomplete instrumentation or odd combinations. These pieces are playable by as few as 5 woodwind, brass or string players with or without percussion. This creates the opportunity for a mixed quintet to perform these titles but also allows for performance for 10-15 players up to full a band/orchestra with parts doubling. Great for music camps, contest use or any band room that has non-standard instrumentation. This work is peaceful and reflective and accessible to young musicians. The major pentatonic scale is used as the basis for this composition which creates an interesting texture and evokes the sound of an ancient Japanese folk song. (2:35)

The most popular double concerto for trumpets, Antonio Vivaldi wrote this work for two natural trumpets and strings. The music is simple and elegant, utilizing the non-chromatic capabilities of the natural trumpet. Falling arppegios, half a scale and fanfare figures throughout the work show Vivaldi's skill at taking short simple melodic material and using it through a three movement concerto. The original work is in C major. To allow for performances by trumpet players without the need for piccolo trumpets, this edition has been created. Now this famous piece can be performed on B-flat trumpets.

This set of short pieces depicts events that occur annually at fairs all across North America. Ferris wheels, cotton candy, and a fanfare to open the fair are all included. Unique to this short suite is Old McDonald's Barn, a popular viewing event with children found at the Markham Fair. In this movement, animal noises are emulated within the group. This work is not too difficult and is very interesting and fun for all players. Every section in the band is featured and gets a chance to perform some melodic material.
